High-Grade Gold Producer
The Venture Letter™ will be providing further coverage of London-listed NQ Minerals PLC. This fast up and coming gold mining company is now trading on the OTCQB under the trading symbol NQMLF. The company is also aiming to list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange which often leads to heightened liquidity.
We are re-launching coverage of NQ Minerals and the company’s new and recently-announced gold mine reactivation project in Tasmania, Australia. This high-grade gold mine lies in the same mining district as the company’s producing Hellyer Gold Mine and recently reported a 483,000 oz gold resource at an average of 1/3 oz Au per tonne. That’s some high grade ore.

NQ Minerals’ management successfully navigated through the challenges of reactivating a dormant mine and has vastly improved on prior mine operations and metals recovery. In 2017, NQ Minerals acquired the Hellyer Gold Mine in Tasmania and, subsequent to proving a reserve of over 8mt, it commenced reprocessing of high grade tailings in 2018 to produce precious metal concentrates, zinc and lead. Hellyer has now achieved commercial production, exceeding originally anticipated metallurgical performance and plans are in place for further expansion.
NQ Minerals is an expanding base and precious metals production and exploration company with production underway at its Hellyer Operations in Tasmania, Australia. In 2015, the company listed in London based on a portfolio of historically proven gold and silver exploration assets in Northern Queensland.
The company is currently focused on further exploration, mining and processing opportunities in Tasmania. These include the proposed development of a new nickel/cobalt mine and processing facility, that will enable further commercialization of the residual material from the reprocessing of Hellyer tailings. NQ Minerals is also advancing the development of its Northern Queensland precious metals properties to bring these into commercial operation.
